We are partnering with the Board to appoint a high performing, commercially-minded CEO to the helm of this regional, community-enriching organisation.



The Opportunity

To ensure NUsport can continue their mission of creating positive living experiences, encompassing a healthier mind, fitter body and happier spirit for all, we are currently seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer with a passion for making a meaningful impact.

The organisation is ready to be taken to its next stage of maturity and the purpose of the role of Chief Executive Officer is to lead and guide the team, the community and the organisation's stakeholders, ensuring it can continue to build on its successes in the achievement of the Strategic Plan.

This opportunity would be offered on a five year fixed term basis.

The Organisation

NUsport believes in the significant enhancement to the student experience through the involvement in sport, health and recreation.

As a community-leading organisation, NUsport is the cornerstone to provision of health, sport and leisure services and facilities to students, staff and alumni of the University of Newcastle. Having been an active part of the University and its wider community for more than 50 years, it is through these services and facilities that NUsport enhances the total student experience positively.

With approximately 160 employees and a remarkable diversity of offerings, NUsport promotes and enables enjoyment of a range of quality health, sporting and recreational facilities, services and programs, and contributes genuinely to the development of its members socially, physically and intellectually through opportunities for participation in health, education and leisure activities.
