THE COMPANY

Dashworks Workspace is a space for infinite possibilities and big ideas. Designed to support professionals, entrepreneurs, small business owners and creatives, Dashworks is re-defining the traditional day in the office.

Based in Lake Macquarie, the company currently runs two innovate facilities - a contemporary coworking space in Charlestown and a commercial-focused makerspace and prototyping facility in Warners Bay.

With a warm and welcoming feel and thoughtful consideration of design, the spaces now accommodate for more than 150 members across 80 different businesses.

Dashworks was created in 2016 by Dantia, Lake Macquarie's economic development company. Dantia is responsible for accelerating innovation and economic development in the region. The Dashworks initiative is one of Dantia's key projects and is a critical piece of infrastructure driving the innovation pipeline and capability in Lake Macquarie.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a forward-thinking multitasker to be the face of Dashworks Workspace and the central point of contact for their community members. This is an exciting and unique opportunity, where no two days will be the same.

The role is split evenly between administration and accounts, marketing, facility management, and sales and retention. Here are a few of the key responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet visitors, guests and members. Making them feel welcome and at home
  • Attract and retain members, and create opportunities for collaboration
  • Create content (video, written, blogs) to promote the space and the community members businesses
  • Actively engage, monitor and influence the community via social media channels
  • Create and run a program of events such as "Speaker Series" and "Cookie Club" workshops and guest speaker presentations
  • Manage the presentation and coordination of services for the facility i.e. coordinating meeting rooms, ensuring wifi and printer technology are connected and stocking facilities
  • Administration of membership agreements and monthly member billing and collections

  • Commercially-minded and focused on creating opportunities for business development and economic growth
  • Experienced in using social media and developing marketing content
  • Motivated by taking full ownership of the role
  • An admin superstar with working financial acumen
  • Committed to working 28 hours per week, with some flexibility to manage occasional and incidental after-hours requirements
  • Excellent at prioritising and have a no nonsense, can-do attitude


Although you will be the lead on Dashworks Workspace facilities management, you will be supported by a wider team of professionals focused on economic development for Lake Macquarie.
