The Opportunity
As our client embarks on the next stage of its development and as the demand for its services continues to grow, a strong people leader with a sound commercial focus is critical to the enduring success of the organisation.

The organisation is ready to be taken through its next stage of maturity, and the newly created position of General Manager will ensure it can continue to build on its successes as an industry leader. Working in close partnership with the owners, this role will offer the opportunity to capitalise on significant capacity and capability across untapped markets and to assume responsibility for the growth of the organisation.

The Organisation
The organisation is a private, locally owned and operated company that has been providing skill, experience and the highest standards of product excellence to the mining industry for over 40 years.

Since establishment, the business has grown from a small engineering shop to one of the most extensive in the Hunter Valley. Located in Singleton, their base workshop is an ultra-modern, medium capacity factory which has become one of the most technologically advanced in the region.

Looking ahead, the vision of the business is to achieve significant 2020 growth plans incorporating market diversification, establishment and consolidation of business-critical operations, and enhancement of the already strong and positive workplace culture.

You

Your service-first mindset will be underpinned by a sound technical understanding of the people, financial and systems-based requirements of a business with significant growth plans. Credibility in respect to the mining engineering industry will also be critical to success both internally and onsite with client partners, and we are open to this being expressed in your own way, shape or form.

Motivated by the opportunity to invest in the organisation for the long term, you will share a "founders mentality" with the business owners and display a genuine hunger for driving the business forward through market diversification and growth, consolidation of operational functions, and enhancement of a culture that has people lining up out the door to work there.
